Both sweet and very real. I love how you frame the throuple as something specific. An end in itself — not a thing whose “real” fate is to be broken into its parts. I’m thinking of how you wouldn’t have worked one on one with the guy; you only saw your connection within the context of the four of you together. It’s a lovely endorsement for diversifying relationship structures without romanticizing.

Thanks Brenden. I’ve had a lot of time to sit with my thoughts about it all and am so grateful for them for how they’ve shaped me today! 🥰 romantic but clear eyed

This is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing, Aidan, and thank you for coordinating the telling of this narrative, Jerry. I can relate to this so deeply, even down to the STI testing in Harlem after moving to NYC from the Midwest, fresh out of college. This really helped me today, thank you.

This is quite a sweet story, despite the break-up - it's clear-eyed, sounds like everyone was honest, and communication was good if maybe not perfect (no such thing). Casual(ish) relationships can prepare us for more foundational ones later - thanks for sharing your story, Aidan - and Jerry for hosting.
