Share a Short 'Love' Story
For June, we will publish your short pieces to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community!
You didn’t think we’d forget about LGBTQ+ Pride month this June did you? To celebrate, we are collecting your pieces, and we’re trying something different. We want your micro stories, your short missives: Think 250-words about a missed connection, a stranger’s love, an aromantic epiphany, a poly tryst—surprise us!
We want passion, we want profound, we want whimsy, we want joy and poignant regret. It can be happy, it can be sad. It can be about a Pride event gone wrong or a meet-cute that turned into an adventure. This could be the thing you wrote in a group text. Or maybe it’s just for your “close friends” on Instagram? Or a thread that you want to refashion and share in a new format to a bunch of us… It can be fun or it can be heartbreaking—
More than anything, we want to share and amplify your story! SUBMIT!
JUST KEEP IT SHORT
To help, we created a form where you can submit your short pieces.
Of course, as always, you can take the QLP Questionnaire and read our submission guidelines if you have a longer piece that you plan to submit for publication.
Email us to take “The QLP Questionnaire” or fill out this form.

🌈 I’m so happy I stumbled back into this beautiful project—Substack sometimes hides the gems we didn’t know we needed again. What a powerful and playful way to celebrate queer love in all its forms. I'm here for the missed connections, the slow-burn stories, the tender epiphanies. I just submitted my short story.
And since we’re in the spirit of sharing: I’m also hosting the #PrideOnThePage Creative Challenge over on my Substack from June 1–30. It’s 30 days, 30 inclusive prompts centered on identity, joy, resistance, and becoming—open to all LGBTQIA+ writers and creators (poetry, flash, visual art, audio—all welcome). Maybe it sparks something for you or someone reading along.
